I think both fit. One is larger than the other. Not sure which is "best" for the 2007 however.
Here is a Great thread on various filters for the TL:

Anyone who changes their own oil think about how it doesn't get recorded on a carfax? I personally bought my car to drive it so I don't really care, and I also get free oil changes and a loaner car for the life of the car, but was curious what others think and if anyone worry's about resale later without oil change records.

Oil changes/routine maint don't make it onto the carfax report anyhow, do they?
Even if Carfax will show maint, I doubt that it's "automatic". The dealer or shop has to report it somehow and I seriously doubt this is done consistently and universally. For instance dealer "A" might report maint, but Firestone Store "B" doesn't.
IOW - Even if the maint reporting service exists, some maint won't show up on Carfax.
Regardless, I thought Carfax only showed Title Changes and/or Accident Repair (if reported).
