Well, Mugen never made a grill for the 3G TL, but it sure looks nice, whose car is it anyway?

Well whatever grill that is it looks like crap. No reason to downgrade to that one from the OEM grill.

Ehhh....not sure if I like this grill or not. Thinking about giving it a try, but I'm going to try to mount the "A" emblem and the cup that attaches it to the OE grill to the center of it, and of course color match the trim that surrounds the grill.

I agree, but the grill is cheap as hell so I figured it might be worth a try. If it looks like hell I'm not out that much money.

I didn't click all the links up there since I'm at work, but those are 04-06 TLs, the OP is asking about the 07 and 08.

Yeah exactly and like I said originally, the OEM grill on the TL's looks great...why mess with it? There are other good mods you can do to bring out the front of the car like a-spec kit and maybe blacking out the chrome in the headlights.

Haha I was just going to say what a baller you are.

I read that you said it was cheap so I clicked the Ebay link. The BIN is set at $220, and $220 isn't cheap to me for a grill lol!

07-08 grill is bigger, and the 04-06 grills don't have the honeycomb look piece in the back.

Though those illustrations are the same, the grills are not.

edit [deleted charts but same p/n for grille components]

From Acuraoemparts... same p/n doesn't comply with argument that one is bigger.. Plus a retool on the design is not worth the $$.. The only thing that changed was the emblem size not grill/e

Uhhh you really think the 04-06 grill has the same dimensions as the 07-08 grills? Why do you think nobody has put a Type-S chrome grill on their 04-06 cars without replacing the whole bumper?
Both you and Johnny are wrong my friend.

And thanks for the diagram, why did you post the same image (see link: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...14sep4_b45.gif) for both years?
The pic is of the 07-08 grill, it's got the honeycomb.

Kinda suprised that you didn't know, especially consider how many posts you got here.

^^^Nah, both the 07-08 "base" and Type S grill are larger than the 04-06 TL grill.

I dunno if the grill opening of the 07-08 "base" is the same as the Type S though, but they look the same to me, only one is in chrome and the other satin silver.

The PN's are different brother (not being a dick BTW)

In the first link you posted, illustration #1 is the grill for the 04-06.

In the second link you posted, illustration #11 is the grill for the 07-08, and illustration #1 isn't listed as a part for the 07-08.

They use the same exploded diagrams for both cars.

The ONLY difference between the two is that the 07-08 grill is taller. My friend Steve (6spdtl-s) bought one of the mesh grills for the 07-08 to put on his 04, and it is indeed taller, and will need to be cut to fit.

The molding p/n's are different too (illustration #4) because the molding is taller on both sides.

I'm thinking.. "well all of you can't be batshit..".. so I went back.. said.. wtf.. they're the same.. but checked the diagram.. seems like AOP posted the same image for 04-07, but updated 08.. I've been doing my own grille mod (work in progress) so I've been to the site many times and by looking at the p/n's & diagrams just assumed they were the same.

I concede.. You can tell in the pic where I highlighted the front grille molding that it is taller. The P/N's are the same 07-08 for the front grill molding but the diagram is different. The diagram also shows P/N #1 & #11 where #1 was 04-06, #11 is 07-08..

Carry on..

I think yours looks pretty good. I just don't like it when people buy them and don't color match them. Makes the front of the car look cheap when it's just the black plastic IMO.

yeah.. pun intended.. not bad. The color match & floating type-s emblem really makes it shine.
