titnted tails

I have a WDP and I'm about to buy the rockblocker kit. I wanted to do a "test" run to see how it would look, so I bought some "static-cling" tint (20% darkness - 80% light transmition) and cut it and shaped it to fit the TL and side markers.

whoa. what a difference. It looks AMAZING on WDP. during the night, the light shines through fine. What I'm worried about is the day. I've been told That they could see it. but My question is,

does ANYONE have a compare contrast of the 20 vs. 38 percent rock blocker tint shades? (pictures specifically, and if on WDP even better.) :-)

If i felt that all the drivers out here in california are great drivers, then I'd go for the same shade as my ghetto-ass, static cling window tint at 20% because... damn it looks good. But people out in cali suck at driving, and I don't want to get nailed by someone claiming the didn't see my taillights.

So... pictures of 20 vs 38?

1. at night
2 during day

-with break depressed, and with the break not depressed would be great!

PS. I finally got my wheels and tires installed. lowered it, tinted the windows, and installed an intake. I'll take pictures when she's COMPLETELY done..

just need lip spoiler, body kit, blackout the headlights and stereo completion and it'll be done.

but it looks like a completely different car to me right now....

and I love her.. :-)

PPS her name is Eliza (as from "my fair lady") :-)

thanks for all the advise guys (and gals)

Isn't RockBlocker tint numbers reveresed from window tint?

20% window tint = 20% of light passes etc

RB 20% = 20% of light blocked

Don't quote me

pep boys. it works just to get an idea how it would look, but it really kinda sucks. the curves of the tails prevent it from making a "clean" fit, but it gives a really good idea. at it was only 7.00 a roll. I just wanted to get an Idea before I go spending 70 dollars on something I might not like. 7.00 dollars seemed feasible for a test.

As far as transmission of light, for rock blocker 20% means 83% transmission through, and 35% means 70% transmission.

So the tint I have was right inbetween....a little darker than the 20% and not as dark as the 35%

All the pictures on the Rockblocker site for the acura cars, are all 20% which looks great, but it's more of like a dark ruby or crimson color. which is nice, but not as dark as i imagined, but maybe pictures don't do it justice. I have 28% all around as tint (don't ask me why it's 28% - it looks great though) and I kinda wanted the tails to get as close as possible, while still maintaining the safety window for myself and the drivers behind me.
