now heres my question i went to the local autozone and bought tint paper myself and wanted to tint my tail lights....i did one of them

i asked the guy at autozone which paper to buy for my tail lights and he tells me its illegal and that i would get arrested if i tint my tails.....so i took it off....i do live in jersey and im sure its illegal.....so for now im back to original tails....i peeled the tint off my tails.....can anyone confirm this....is it illegal in jersey and can the driver really be arrested or is this guy bsin with me

 

nice tints...am also looking to get probably 35/20....you can tint the tails, may be illegal but as long as its not VERY apparent, no cop will care, unless you live some place where cops are anal as hell

 

Tinted Taillights or smoked covers are illegal in New Jersey. Your 2 tinted front windows are illegal as well. About getting arrested, never heard that one but you can get ticketed for it and the 2 front windows and tinted tails won't pass inspection. I have my windows tinted 20% except the windshield and have not gotten hassled. All depends on the local police, surroudning towns and what your doing.

 

Looks great! I was thinking of 20% on my new TL-S and I think your pistures made up my mind. I'll be going with the 20%!

I'll never understand why people call it "tints".

I've never heard it called anything other than "tint" , or getting your windows "tinted" until I joined AZ
