Tints-20 all around or 35 Front and 20 Rear
It depends what state and city you are in. I think 15 or 20 looks the best, but I have 35 on mine now because thats what it came with. I hate when people say "tints"... its fucking window TINT
My Opinion from experience. Do 35% all around so its legal. Removing tint after the law fines you and trying to repair the rear window defogger will cost a lot more than just having the back widows look good.

Check your local laws, then ignore them and do 20% around cause it's dark enough to make the car look meaner, but not dark enough to draw a lot of attention. For a daily driver anything darker is annoying at night. You really can't see in clearly unless it's in direct sunlight or the interior lights are on.
I have 5% all around, sure it looks nice, but can be hard to see out of at night sometimes especially during certain weather conditions. If I felt like having it removed and re-done, I probably would go with 20%
My old tls had 5% laid over 35% all around. It was dope for drinking and driving or getting head but seeing at night was a guessing game at times. Im at 35 right now but you should go with 20 all around. That's ideal to me
15% fronts 5% rears
Thats what I have and its about perfect imo. My previous couple of cars I had 5% all around and I liked that to but it does tend to get you pulled over from time to time (depending where you live and the tint laws there).
My current tint is a carbon tint which I'm happy with, you didn't say which kind/type of tint you were looking at. But I'd recommend it if your looking at that as well.

Another vote for 20% all around(I had this on my 2 of my previous cars and I think that's the best balance of looks and nighttime drivability)
If you're thinking you want to stay legal just go with 35% all around. I'm out a big fan of different darkness of tint on the front and back.

I agree with other people about keeping everything uniform. Either do the whole care 35% or 20%. Personally I did 15% all around when I got the car four yrs ago. If I could do it again I would make them lighter since Im getting older.
I have always done 20 on the back / rear window and 35 on the front doors. 3 reasons
a) With the lighter on the front the police don't tend to notice as much.
b) With the darker on the back it tends to make the lighter on the front look darker than it is.
c) Safety ... 20% was just too hard to see out of at night or in the rain. If you happen to turn left and hit a pedestrian etc the police/insurance is going to put a lot of blame on you.
Up here "any" tint from the shoulders forward is illegal.

Problem is, 35% is still illegal in about 1/3 of the states. I have 35% in NY and did get a ticket from an older trooper hiding behind a toll booth. I sent a note from my lasik doctor to the DA and got it dropped though. Other than that I've never been hassled with 35%. I do like 35% on black with black interior, but 20% probably looks better on silver and white cars, especially with the lighter interior colors.
