Tinted Windows
After searching the forums for a while I found out about Best Window Tinting in Tustin.
Just a FYI, I took my 07 TL there on Thursday and the installer, Jei, did a really good job.
$230 all in.

nah Big Balla is right. the tinter did not do your rear quarter properly. see how theres that light outline around the rear and top edge..that shouldnt be there. the tinter should have taken the extra 10 minutes and made sure that didnt happen. you should go back and get it fixed.

hmm..ure right. I wonder if thats just the angle of the picture. If we can see a side shot, we could probably make a better judgment.
Aries - I agree, let's see some pictures Yeah the tickets are not worth it. 35% is whats legal in CT, but I went with 30%, not much of a difference, but looks perfect to me.

nope. there is no dot matrix on the side windows..just on the rear. the tint just needs to be tucked in under the weather strip, some tinters dont feel like putting in the extra effort to tuck it in and they just cut the extra tint off.
some ppl have mentioned that the tint on the rear doesnt properly stick to the dot matrix, but if the tinter knows what he's doing, it shouldnt be an issue.

not about the amount of $$- so to speak, its about the quality of the job and how badass it turns out to look. found a place by me (Il, hr from Chi-twn) $240- i was gna do 20% all around, (its illegal in Il. to have your fronts done period! ) guy suggested doing like 35%in fronts and 20% in rears/back, any thoughts on this?? just dont wanna be getting pulled over 24/7, but i do want it to look badass-thks in advance

Here is what I was suggested, Rockfordace:
Get the sides 30% and have the rear windshield 5/10/15/20%.
This will not leave a constrast between the sides windows, but the dark back window will compensate for the light side windows. The back will look/be dark, but from a side view, you don't see 5% in the back 30% in front look. It fades perfectly. like
. . . . . . .. .. .. .. .. ... ... ... ...
. . . . . . .. .. .. .. .. ... ... ... ...
. . . . . . .. .. .. .. .. ... ... ... ...
instead of
. . . . . . . . . . ... ... ... ... ... ...
. . . . . . . . . . ... ... ... ... ... ...

Pretend those are windows=\

I have the same issue, it's also a big no no in dirty Jersey to do the front door windows, I asked my friend who also does my tints if i should do 30% in the front and 20% in the back doors, he felt it would not look right, and you can very easily see that they are different tints %. I'm just doing 30% for front and back doors and 20% on the rear windshield, I have a AM TL with black leather.
