Tint options

I am here to get a some opinions on my tinting options;

Suntek for $180
Llumar ATC for $240 (I have had this film and installer before. Nice color, nice install after a revisit and redo.)
Madico for $250
Formula 1 Pinnacle for $300 (82 miles away, I mention the miles because of the logistics of traveling for the initial install and if something needs to be redone.)

I know some may be surprised by the prices, however these are the going rates for my area. I am leaning toward the Llumar because I have had it recently and I like the nice charcoal/black color, however should I travel the miles and spend $60 more dollars for the Pinnacle?

Thoughts anyone?

Formula1 is what tint I have, and I love it. It's owned by Llumar.

I don't think it's worth the extra cost, though.
Go with the Llumar ATC.

Go with the Llumar ATC since you used them before and it's more convenient to back to them incase something happens.

So you do not feel that the Pinnacle is worth the $60 difference? What about F1 classic for $160 at the same shop?

F1 Classics are great.

I'm pretty sure Formula1 selects shops that are authorized to install their tint, and usually the shops that are selected are shops that do top notch work.

I suggested the Llumar ATC because you've been to it and saves you the hassle of driving 164 miles round trip. I have tint, but I don't know what kind, I also paid 150 or 160 with moleskin installed.

Unfortunately I have not found a reputable installer in my immediate vicinity below $200. The only way to get those prices is to travel at least that far. I just don't know if it worth the effort.

I've had Llumar ATR on my Impala for years, looks great. I don't think you can go wrong with any Llumar. The Suntek on my wife's car just doesn't look as clear, but it could be the installers fault as I used a different shop. There's gotta be a reason Suntek is so much cheaper. I have no clue what's on my TL as it was on it when I purchased it so unless it turns purple I probably won't try any other tint anytime soon.

Is metallic or ceramic tint overrated? Does any one have any electronic or signal issues with metallic? Not what you heard or what the pamphlets say but what you have experienced?

How far is far?

I traveled 96 miles to get my tint done.
So worth it.

I have decided to go with either Llumar or Formula One. Not sure which type; non metallic dyed, metallic or ceramic. I am now willing to travel about 90 miles if necessary for those films at a good price.

Anyone know if Formula One Pinnacle 35, Llumar ATC 35 and Formula One Classic 35 are all the same shade of charcoal/grey/black? Does one have a slightly darker hue than the other?
