Tint in King of Prussia, PA area?

I am having the hardest time trying to find someone to tint my 2005 TL. I am looking to find Formula 1 or another ceramic tint. I tried the yellow pages and found nothing. I found one place that will do it but they do not have ceramic tint. He uses Solargaurd (<-sp?)

Does anyone have a recommedation? I am willing to drive a little to get what I want.

I live down the street from a detail/tint shop in Bryn Mawr, PA. This is about 15 minutes from King of Prussia. When I asked, they said it would cost me $200 to tint the TL. I asked him for ceramic tint and he said yes he can do ceramic tint. He asked me why I wanted it, and I told him because of my NAV and he was impressed that I knew about that. He is also aware of the tint scratching so if I were you, I would ask him how much he would charge for moleskin. (Make sure you are talking to the tinter, not the desk guys). He might ask you to get the moleskin yourself, and you can order the kit that some guy on this forum is selling even though it is at an expensive price.

610-656-8155 - Tell them Moosh told you about them, they know me.

I am not sure about F1 tint, but I remember that it was ceramic.

They also included lifetime warranty, and I would highly suggest that in the tint install even if the moleskin is installed.

Btw, what % were you going to go with? What color Tl do you have?

I have Anthracite. Not sure on %. I want it dark enough to look good and keep the heat down but light enough to see at night and not have the cops give me a hard time. Any suggestions on %?

Himay,

some installers will go and get F1 tint for you as well so even if they dont' do it have normally install it, you can try and ask if they will do it.

I was thinking of doing 30-35% front and 20-22% rear

Let me know what you get and price.

Tell peter that you know coop. which isn't me hehe.

How much tint can you get away with living in PA? I've wanted to tint my TL since I bought it last year, but the state inspection laws are tough in PA regarding tint %.

state law says 70% allowed, which is what is on the windows now. I have seen alot of cars with darker tints and no problems. I've only heard people getting pulled over in very small towns for it.

Himay, see if you can get a group discount or something. If you can get F1 tint installed and cheaper if you bring more than 1 person, I'd be interested if it's not too expensive.

Tommy85: Ceramic tint is tint made from materials that do not contain metal elements in them. It will not interfere with the navigation system.

Nick04TL: Yeah I hear ya, small cities or counties pull people over for that alot more. what % tint do you have?

Himay: what's the news with you?

I've lately been considering 28% tint all around.

COLBERT'S CARE CARE
3613 Lincoln Highway
Thorndale, PA 19372

(if using MAPQUEST, use 3611 Linclon Highway)

Got mine done last month, and I am very satisfied. This is the second tinted car for me. This time around, I did more research because I was not pleased with the quality last time on my CL.

Tell him Don McConnell sent you!

Good Luck with your new ride.

Wow, I dont know how some people paid up to 240.00 for tints. Thats crazy.

I paid for mine 95.00 plus tax. And i got them 51% all around lifetime warranty, ceramic.

Now i want darker since summer is here. And i am getting 35% or even in the 20's all around. And they are charging me 80.00 to remove and place new tint in a BMW dealer my ex works for. (hookup? not sure but 80 to take them off and put them on, i will not complain.!!) And i mean, they deal putting tints on 7 series, and 6 series, so they know about the tight weather strip we have. And i am pretty sure it will be done nicely too.

Maybe cuz there's alot of competition here in miami.
