Tint?
I did a few searches and well lets just say it hasn't gone that well. Just picked up a Tl and curious as to what everyone paid to get theirs done. I'm just gonna go with 35%. I don't wanna get a quote and over pay for something.

Pretty good prices. See I have a cousin who tints. We were both in the car game and I even built him his engine for his 35r set up. When he and his brother started tinting over a year ago they did my Rsti for 100 bucks since they were just learning. When I asked him when I bought the Tl he said $225. I know they still aren't as good as most professionals in the area. Wasn't sure if he was messing with me or something so I wanted to see what was a fair price for him.

depends on location, materials etc.
tint in my area for "mid grade" tint (ie most common, electronic friendly, won't purple hybrid/carbon tint) runs anywhere from $200-350. ceramic tint will go for 400+. cheapie dyed tint will run 100-150 (though none of the places i contacted when i was in the market carried this "crap" tint).
a good installer will hand cut the tint to the window.

Should easily be able to find a place to do it for <$200.

Yeah I'm going to call around tomorrow. My friend got his wrx sedan tinted for $175 with good tint and a lifetime warranty. I may just go there. Or bitch at my cousin for trying to rip me off after I hooked him up on his engine build and all the other subie stuff I do for him and his brother's "side work". Damn family. haha

1. The labor the shop charges
2. The time and quality of the shop
3. The type of tint
I paid $155 to get 35% Ceramic Llumar tint on my Accord at a local shop by me that's a simple mom & pop place that the BMW dealership and Mercedes Dealership use near me. Llumar has a warranty across the US against fading and scratching, etc as long as a certified person installs it.
At the same time, someone paid $450 for Huper Optik (the Rolls Royce of Tint) at a place in orlando. When I asked the mom & pop store for Huper Optik they said it'd be about 350-375 depending on their supplier for the tint. Whatever you do, make sure they apply felt to the inside and don't cut the rubber inside the panels! Some shops cut the rubber and then you get a ton of windnoise. Others leave them and don't apply felt and that's when the tint will get scratched!
As well, make sure they try to tint the 1/4 window in the back fully past the seal, and as well that they tint UNDER the 3rd brake light cover and simply don't tint around it. That makes the whole car look better and as well makes it a little easier on the eyes for people behind you since the TL's LED tail's can be a bit blinding at times!

It depends on 3 things:
1. The labor the shop charges
2. The time and quality of the shop
3. The type of tint

I happen to be familiar with Llumar's products, so I'll give you some prices for comparison. I live in Texas, if that makes any difference according to region prices.
Paid $259.99 for Llumar CTX (ceramic) this past summer; 30% for the driver and passenger side windows and 15% on back. It's a good tint, as it resists scratching and doesn't require moleskin installation.
If your cousin was using this specific product for $225, then it's pretty reasonable (looks like he still wouldn't give you a big family discount though, lol). If not, then commence bitching at him.![Tomato](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/tomato.gif)
At the same shop, Llumar ATR (metallized) ran for $179.99, and ATC (dyed) ran for $139.99. There was one more tint above the CTX, but I forgot the brand (wasn't Llumar), and which cost above $300 (forgot the exact price).
All three Llumar tint options at my shop came with a lifetime warranty, though the metallized and above films had a lifetime transferrable warranty; ATC was only covered if you brought it back to the same shop.
Like csmenace said (who got a way better deal on the same tint for his Accord, it looks like!), make sure they tint the entire rear door quarter windows and under the 3rd brake light. The brake light pops off easily enough, but I had to bring my car back and get them to redo the quarter windows because I wasn't satisfied with their effort to get under the seal.
Looks like you're going with another shop, so good luck! Show your cousin my shop's prices and see what he has to say about his own!

I paid $400 for Huper Optik + moleskin 9 years ago. Can't speak for other high-end tints, but the heat reduction of HO is excellent. Lifetime warranty. Wouldn't use anything else if I had to do it all over again...
And OP, FYI there is a tint section in the Service Department, section K:

Go to 215motoring they service south jersey, all of Pennsylvania and Delaware. They tint the whole car for $100 with sun-gard film which is really good film. They offer a lifetime warranty and all the tint is handcut and is great quality.
215motoring is 1.5 hours from me so I haven't personally used them but many family/friends have used them for years and they never any problems
