Tint
Tint
I got my car tinted and he didnt tint part of the small window in the rear. There is like a 1in line where he said he couldnt get tint there. Then I tried taking it apart and I couldnt either. I have been noticing a lot of TL with it tinted. So my question is how do you tint the entire small side window.
The tinter just has to push the tint into that area under the seal. I just got my windows tinted on Saturday and he did it with no problem. He did say that area is sometimes a real hassle to get into.
I work in my father in laws tint shop and let me tell you that window should be completely tinted. The shop you went to must not be too experienced. Your best beat is to go to another shop and have them tint that window for you. Go back to the original tint shop and tell them to refund you the money to tint that window. you cant be riding around with a window with a 1 inch gap on it. Remember, you get what you pay for, if you paid this shop $100 sh*t like that is expected, if you paid him $200 he ripped you off. Good luck.
I would find another shop/installer. Most experieced tinters are able to do that ... go edge to edge. Here are some postings from tintdude.com regarding the rear quarter window.
Have them redo it or ask for your money back .....
I've tinted 3 of these to date, the quarter windows are a little tricky but the film slides right in if you use your thumb to lift the rubber towards you & lots of soap.
Did one today and it was a piece of cake. The side windows have lots of room around the seals. The quarters at first looked like the accord but the film slid in very easily. I wish most cars were like this one.
