If you don't want to be seen during the day, then you either need to spray paint your windows or go with a 5% industrial grade privacy tint.
Automotive tint is not designed to be one way, its designed to reduce the amount of light it allows in the vehicle.
5% is going to be dark and will get you want you want, 5% mirror will give you the effect of not seeing in, but when its done you will have trouble seeing out as well.

Here in VA, especially in Fairfax County, if we ran with 10% we might as well just pull over, assume the position and wait 'cause the flashing blue lights are on their way...

also, during the day, leave the sunshade on the sunroof open, and paired with the windshield there will be enough light to appear like you have a 'staggered' tint setup front to back. (this picture is a perfect example, you can see the difference even without actual sunlight, which we all know is much much more powerful)
fwiw, i will be getting 15/20% all around, and an 8" top strip on the windshield when i get mine done finally. its a step darker down than i've ever had, but sitting at 35% i've never been hassled following the above advice.

I say go for whats legal as well. I always did legal (35%) until this TL I went with 20% to then have it fain inspection a year later. Unless you can afford all the fix it tickets in this economy or being out of inspection then go for it but my .02 says it's not worth it in the end. Also unless you have a 07-08 w/ Tech pkg like I have, anything 20% or less tint you'll need the reverse camera because let me tell you... You can not see worth crap at night. I'd have to even go as far as to roll the windows down to see through the side view mirrors. It was getting old fast anyway. Thank god my good friend owns A tint shop in my city because he does mine for free. So normally you'll pay $175-220 (depending on where you go) to tint the car then have it removed because u didn't pass inspection ($60-75) then retinted over ($175-220 again) for a potential total cost of $410-515. If its worth that to look stealth vs. being seen by all means go ahead but my grandmother used to always use the southern phrase "Hard head makes for a soft behind"...lol.

5% or 10%??? Seriously? Why not just go for 1%. Depending where you go... you will be pulled over the same day.
Your state.. FLA has 28% front sides and 15% rear sides and back window. Remember that your windows already have some factory tint. So even if you go 30% on the front sides... you still might fail. To be just on the edge of legal... you would need 35% on front sides and 20% on your other windows.

I say 5%. I did 5% and I live in communist NJ where you can't have any tint on the front windows. If you're going to get pulled over for it the fine is the same as if it were a lighter shade. Since you live in FL the darker the better to keep your interior cool. It's your car and you can ultimately do what you want, but as hot and sunny as it is down there, go dark!

dude more than anything consider SAFETY !!!
tickets/getting pulled over/jail are all minor things....if you cant see shit outside with your 5% tints at night and if you run someone over or run into something, it would be life threatening....
DO YOURSELVES a favor and dont get less than 15%....even wonder why the front of a limo is never tinted and only the seating area is tinted to 2.5% ?
try to be safe out there....

Is it true that 35% on a car with black interior makes it look closer to 20%? I'd really like to be able to see out of my car at night so that's why I'm leaning towards 35% when I was deadset on 20% a week ago haha.

We have 35% with black int. and sometimes depending on the sun etc. the tint looks much darker. Pitch black sometimes. If you are worried about seeing properly 35% will do the trick.

I have 20% on my RL and inside looking out visibility is only lost at night.
A real life example, if there is a dark colored car in your blind spot that doesn't have its lights on at dusk you very well may not see it with 20% or darker tint.
5% tint, you can barely see cars around you at night unless you can see their headlights and you cannot see unlit objects in your rear view mirrors at night unless there is a street light.
Remember... the percentage is the amount of light let through the tint... so the darker the tint the less light you will see.
People looking in being able to see you is the reverse, so the darker the tint the less light that is coming into the car and this is where the light vs dark interior plays a roll.
Clearly the dark interior will reflect less light.
