I have 30 in the front and 15 in the back, and it's fading a little. Why not go darker?

I think You have it backwards. But regardless isn't fl really lenient with tint? I would just want my tint to match all around. I'd go with 15 all around if I lived in fl. I have 20 and it's pretty dark at night.

I recently got my SSM done with the Taupe(tan) Interior and went with 15%, imo I would definitely go with that.
Heres a pic (sorry its iPhone) of mine the day after in the garage, would like to get a daylight one but weve been gettin snowed on the past few days!

Lol fixed. Yes, fl is very lenient with tint. Many of my buddies have 5 all around and have never gotten pulled over. I have 15 in the back, but I can still easily see through it under the sun.

Get the fronts redone in 15% to match all around. That way it's cheaper, it matches, and 15% all around is clean. If you want to darken it up a bit maybe get the windshield done in 35 or 50%

The previous owner has 13% in the back, I later tinted the front to 15%...was thinking to do 13% as well for the front...but I dunno...maybe don't wanna go too dark...darkest the shop do is 7%...that's like complete dark.....

That's what I thought about doing, but the tint I have right now is old and def doesn't look like 15%. So why not go darker?

Tint law is not really a problem here in FL, they don't care.

right now i have 15% and also have tan interior. Looks perfect to me. I think you should get 15% all around and 35% in the front windshield.

I say 15-10%. I had 5% on my old car and it was too dark at night, especially out the rear.

Just remember when buying tint that your windows are factory tinted and a 20% may actually register as 16% on an officers meter. (speaking from experience)

So if you are walking the legal line you may still get ticketed.

On a related note, if you are in the great Commonwealth of Va you can be cited for a ticket PER window.
i.e. 6 tickets on a 4 door car... again experience.

vinhdzn and mine look similar, how its reflective and not BLACK like other kinds of tint.

Really cant tell how dark it is, unless you get a tint meter.
but I know mine is 35% and in sun light looks like yours.

I'm torn with the tint. I've always had tint on my previous cars, and always said that the day I buy a car the first place I am driving to is to have it tinted. But I don't know..I'm kind of really liking the clean look. I have a white TSX, tan interior. I had 20% on my accord with black interior. I know that ivory will also make it look a little lighter. But I'm thinking 35% all around. I think it might look cleaner.

Shots with white cars with ivory interior would help my decision greatly =)

And OP while I am whoring, as far as your question... if you are going 10 you might as well go 5.

Between the two you are going to equally get pulled and you wont be able to see shit at night.

I strongly encourage you not to do this, I had 15% on my previous car and was SO UNSURE of 35 or 15 this time around w/ my TL. I finally got around and just went w/ 15 and I'm SO HAPPY that I did. Once you get used to the benefits/styling of 15/20% you will just wish you went darker on 35%+

I have called about 6 tint shops and they all don't have 10%. They have 5% and 15%. I have 15% in the rear right now and so I was just thinking about matching them up and doing 50% on the windshield. So, 15% all over and 50% on the windshield. But a few places said it might not match up since the front ones will be new film compared to my rear.

To re-tint everything/the whole car with the windshield = $220
To do only the front two windows to match up with the rear/windshield = $150

Unless your tint is visibly faded (purple) or damaged, them saying it wont match is like the service manager up selling an oil change to include brake pads IMO.

It still looks in great condition, but under the sun, I can EASILY see through it. Idk if that's how 15% is, or it's the tint, or if it's the 30 on the front/windshield letting sun in...

most sub 100 dollar tint is dyed. and is prone to fading/turning purple.
