Timing Belt and Valve Adjustment...
I just rolled 109k on my 2004 and I'm thinking I'd better do the timing belt before my luck runs out.
I have all the parts for my timing belt including plugs, but, I'm a little concerned about parts for the valve adjustment.
I have valve cover gaskets and grommets coming. What else will I need? Do the intake gaskets need to be replace, or are they reusable?
Thanks ahead of time.

FWIW, I re-used my intake gaskets and have had no issues. I spaced out and totally missed that the SM says to replace them, but I already had the engine apart and it was Sunday.... I did my TB/valve service 94K miles ago and those gaskets are doing fine...

I've heard this too, but have always wanted know what to expect with noisy valves aside from other similar noises that may be mistaken for noisy valves.
Nice video here I just found to satisfy my curiosity.
EDIT: Well, no sounds before in the videos unfortunately, skip to 34:35 in second video for sound after supposed adjusted valves. My car sounds no worse, so guess I'm OK.

You can't go by noise. The intakes get looser and noisy which are more of an annoyance than anything. It doesn't significantly affect performance of reliability. The exhausts usually tighten up until there's no more gap once hot. They will be very quiet. They will also be overheating and eventually failing requiring head removal to fix while they're being quiet.
Unfortunately there's no good way to know when exhausts are getting close other than to check. Once you see a decrease in manifold idle vacuum or any other measurable parameter they're already too tight. I had two that were on the tight side.
