Is it possible to take timing belt cover off and see condition of timing belt to determine if it needs to be replaced on 2004 TL.

 

Just called local dealership and they said that if a number 4 comes up on MID then you need to replace timing belt, water pump, and spark plugs. If you do not see it then you do not need to worry about it. my vehicle has 124K. only had it for 5K.
