I think it's time to turn my 04 TL NAVI 6MT into a track car, but I'm not quite sure.

I bought the car in 2017.

The good: It's got the original engine & transmission, the NAV system works. The radio works, it has the original carbon fiber interior trim, the seats don't look great, but they don't have any rips/tears. I have replaced motor mounts, shocks, struts, headliner, updated the brakes with Stoptech rotors and pads, and replaced the NAV system with units from 07-08. Has Continental PureContact LS tires with 90% tread left. The catalytic converters degraded so bad they clogged up the exhaust, so now they're hollowed out.

The bad: It's got 256K miles, the original paint looks terrible, and the A/C compressor needs replacement. The engine runs ok, but smokes a lot, leaks oil, and loves to foul up the spark plugs.

I neverminded the oil & smoke, but the AC going out while living in the Deep South is something I can't ignore. $1200 to repair the AC, plus fixing the smoking/oil leaks.

Also, my wife hates the car, while she doesn't bug me about getting rid of it, she can't wait for me to get rid of it.
