Stay with TL longer until new model or what? When should we expect changes for TL? 2007?
I like Acura TL but there is plenty of new models around. Here is some I like.

BMW 3
Toyota Avalon
Subaru Legacy
VW Passat 2006 (280hp!!!)
etc.

Sure TL still hot but for how long? I guess time for Acura to add some horses!!!!
Acura RL, Lexus GS430, Infiniti G35, Infiniti M45. I have to say the Mazda6 is pretty nice as well. The new BMW 3 series is not all that great IMO, I drove it the other day and wasn't too impressed.

If you want a coupe, the G35 is the first to come to mind. Maybe the new Mustang, GTO, and the Corvette of course.

Why would you think the design was horrible inside & out? I was complimented on that car as much as the TL (wll...almost) For the money (25K), it was a lot of fun to drive. (and cool blue dash lights too!)
Mine about 5k less then TL but interior design is worse than was in mine former Russian Fiat I drove back in Russia 15 years ago. Electrical issues all the time and regular service cost are killing since it is VW.
As I said car is OK and I still own one but no comparison to TL.

I had a 2000 4Motion Variant and I must say it was a great car (luck of the draw I guess). The new B6 looks like it's gonna be a nice car, good HP (280), 4Motion, creature comforts and features. I went and looked at one but was disappointed with the quality of the interior. Not up to the standards of the TL.

For once I agree with you. I'd like to get my head right first to drive one everyday though. That's a nice looking car for the price.

RL? Price scared me out of this car.
So question is when should we expect new/upgraded TL? 2007?
25K is a little low to sell your car IMO but anyway......... Bluetooth and other features like that, check Lexus, i think they are the only manuf. that also supports Bluetooth lik say the LX430, or toyota

Talking 2009 sedan by Porsche

I want one of those new Porsche sedans coming out for 2009. Until then, I will stick with the TL, I think.

Bluetooth is standard first on the Lexus GS models with other Lexus models getting it eventually. It is optional on the new 3 seriers (I guess they had to do something since people would no longer pay for a BMW phone), Infiniti has added it for the G series for '06.

Then there is always the 300C or Pacifica.

Leasing is the MOST expensive way to own a car.

I have had almost all of my cars until 100,000 miles and they do not get that much worse as they age... I know of some people who have Hondas wiith 170,000 plus and they do not have that many repairs.

But, to your post, car buying is a emotional experience for a lot of people and they will not agree with what I say even though it is correct.. and as I say to each his own.

And congrats on the early retirement... it is an accomplishment that very very few will be able to do..

LOL. No, my analysis isn't wrong. It just may be wrong for you. And given that you keep cars for 100,000 miles, I can perhaps see why you say that.

But if you trade at the end of the lease term, it's not the "most expensive way" at all. Any financial planner can show you where buying is more costly, esoecially in terms of cashflow and lost opportunity costs.

But we're getting a little far afield of the intent of this post, so it's not appropriate to fire up the old, tired "leasing v. buying" debate here.

HMMMM.... You are never owning on a lease, just renting...
Wrong You can own it when you want, ask for what you need to pay to HONDA FINANCING and they will tell you or send a paper that will tell you each month how much money you have to give them to be the owner. Very simple.

Wether you rent or buy if you didn't give the last dollar to the financial institution it's them that are the owner.

renting is a different way of financing

I always rent the cars, keep them 2 years snd 50 000 miles, and i could write off a good part for my taxes.

The best way is too keep the car until it's completly dead, but not a lot of people would like to do that.

Hi Mike... agree that this is not the thread and as I said it is an emotional thing with cars and people will 'hear' what they want to to back up what they want to do... I am in the finance field and know of what I speak...

If you want to have new cars all the time... lease... if you want to have cars and hold on to them .. buy... but over a 20 year period the one who buys and hold has more cash, but have had fewer cars... a tradeoff.

Yep, I can agree with that!

(What a scary thought, not to have new cars all the time ... )

Check over in the RL forums. Personally I got mine for 45k. Others have said they have had quotes for 42-43.
