Ok, I'm soon to be a member of Team Anthracite. How soon is my question. I know that my car is supposed to be built the week of July 11. I'm not sure if that means it's supposed to be done that week or started that week - I just saw the sheet that the dealer had showing what they and other local dealers were going to get when, filtered to only show Anthracite/6MT/Non-Navi. For those of you who have had to order a car, how long did it take from the build date? I'm in St. Louis if that matters. I'd like to say I have some important reason for wanting to know, but to be honest I'm just really impatient and I WANT THE CAR NOW!!!!!!

Congratulations on the car and the color choice!! To answer your question, I believe the build date is when the car is expected to be complete. Once the car is complete, it will be assigned a VIN#. Once the dealer gets the VIN#, you should have the car in only a couple days (since you are in St. Louis and the car is built in Ohio). I am in California and received the car within about a week from when the dealer had the VIN#.

I am a new member and I traded my MDX in for a 04 TL with NAVI. My dealer said it will be built on July 10 and delivered 10-14 days later. Paid 33k for it. My color choice seems to be rare. WDP with Quartz leather.

Actually, if Acura builds cars like any other I've ever seen, VIN#'s are assigned prior to build. Once the VIN# is assigned it should be built pretty soon.

I'm in the same boat you are. I just got a call from my dealer today saying it is being built as we speak, Anthracite Ebony 6MT Navi (maybe non-navis are next week?).

I asked how long it will take from now until the car comes in, 7-10 days. Then a couple more for my A-spec installation.

So in two weeks I will be rolling in my beautiful new car.

You guys are scaring me ( Gadget and Mose). Either one of you could be writting for me. My build date is July 10th, delivery 20th. Car is Anthracite/Ebony/6sp/Navi. Sounds like they are building them the same time. Although I went for the Navi. Got to do it. I need my toys!....

Hrm, build date on the 10th and delivery on the 20th... Where in the US are you located? I was hoping to get mine next week with a build date of the 11th since I'm in St. Louis - anyone think this is a possiblity? Also, do we have confirmation that the date listed on that sheet the dealers get is the finish date and not the start date?
