Throwing it out there

Throwing it out there
New here and not sure if this belongs in this section, but was just throwing this out there if anyone was interested.
Although I am interested in purchasing a TL in the next few months (hoping when the new '10 models are released, it'll drive down the price of the older '06 models), I was perusing CL and came across this in case anyone was looking.

Almost sounds too good to be true (considering other prices I've seen for comparable cars, but was interested in everyone's thoughts)

i think that is about right for a private sale... prob a few grand cheaper than what i would expect asking price to be on a typeS... unless he is firm on the price and won't budge, getting that car for under $20k would be a good deal...
i have an 07 Base with 27k miles and trade in at the dealer i got was about $19k when i was considering trading for a 4G...
why don't u check it out to see if it is legit?

Kamlung,
I honestly wish I could afford it. Just finished medschool and started a new job. Loan payoffs are the highest priority right now, but I've always had a love/soft spot for the TL. And seeing as I'll "finally" be getting my OWN 1st car, it's the car I have my eye on.
I've set a hard limit of $16,000 budget (although it MAY be flexible the longer I wait)... I know that i'll never get this "S" for that much so I'll just be teasing myself.
also, i'm not in a place to purchase right now. Need a few more paychecks before I can commit to a purchase.
Once i get it though, I love it stock (and don't have the needs to mod), but I have a fair number of questions about it when the time is right.
Been lurking this forum for a while. Can't wait to become a "proper" member.

Actually. I was just looking at a Base Navi...
I wasn't even considering an "S"... I love the car, but I can't justify the badge (and pricetag) for the type of driving I'll be doing.
Plus, just to be picky. I was hoping for a WDP/parchment or camel combo.
but beggers can't be chooser's right?

Looks way too good to be true. Most 07 Type S cars with that mileage are going for between 25-30k...I'd tread carefully with that one if you go for it. I just picked up an 07 TL-S the other week with 24k miles for $27k, and it was in pristine condition. After looking around at other similar cars, it was an excellent deal. Most dealers are selling the TL-S with 20k miles for $33k.

Damn.. that's the best deal I've seen on a Type-S.. I'm guessing typo.. 3 not 2, otherwise it's a salvage title.

It's a very good price, especially considering it's a Kinetic Blue Pearl (difficult to find color).

Hey Goose, Whatever happened to that car? Did you ever meet this guy about it? I ask only cause I just saw a similar great deal from the same guy. (seems too good to be true) So i googled his number to see if anything came up and I found your post. lol

I guess it broke craigslist's terms of use agreement, probably somewhere in their intellectual property infringement clause.
