Our cars get between 28 all the way up to 35+ on the highway, thats normal and between 17-25 in the city. Its impossible to compare each others because each person drives differently, if you get the range the car is supposed to, be happy about it. Also, showing pictures of your car getting 40mpg with only 17 miles says nothing about the gas mileage, thats not long enough to be accurate. Using Seafoam in our cars doesnt really do anything because our engines dont have issues with carbon buildup. Everyone always thinks all the smoke coming out the tailpipe is burnt carbon, its not, its all the seamfoam burning off.

^^^ All gasoline causes carbon build up, it's a fact of life and chemistry. Our engines are just as susceptible to carbon build up as any other fuel injected engine. If you don't use Top Tier gas or use regular fuel treatments, then you will get carbon build up, period....

I tried it before, half a bottle in the vacuum hose and the other half in the gas tank with a few gallons in there. Smoke came out after driving it around the block. As far as performance feel, it feels the same. I have yet to do it again since I have a spare bottle laying around. What really made a difference for me was cleaning the throttle body. But if you do it, there is a high possibility that you will need to have your throttle body recalibrated and this can only be done using a HDS tool, which the dealer and various mechanics should have. The throttle body relearn procedure itself will not solve this problem for you. Sorry for threadjacking but just a little information since you're deciding it is time to clean the inside of your engine.
