Those of you in SoCal? How much for insurance?

I currently have State Farm. But was wondering what the average rate was for the 2004 TL in the Los Angeles area.

i also have state farm and paying $257/month
i got 100k-300k body injury / 50k car - <-- covers other party
$500/$500 deductible

it's a little high coz i've had a ticket in the past 2 years (it showed up coz i had more than 1 in 18 months) and i've only been driving for 7 years. they told me once the ticket clears (2005) and 9 years experience (2007) i would get senior status and earn a greater discount. i could save $40 if i wanted $1000 deductible but didn't want it

I dont know what the rates are for the04 TL, but I do know that right now AAA and Mercury are the cheapest, especially if you have a ticket or accident or if you are a youthful driver (under 25) or have a youthful driver on the policy.I work for Farmers and our rates are through the roof unless you have no youthful and a clean record.

$257 a month? Wow! I'm using my parent's address up north and my monthly is $71 a month for 50/100 and 500 deductible. Don't think I can afford insurance down here.

Insurance rates vary....

The insurance rate you pay are specific to your personal situation. Also if the insurer offers coverage for your home then you pick up a discount as well. I have Wawanesa. They are very strict about who qualifies but if you are lucky and good enough to fit their guidelines then you will get the lowest rate available. I have checked them all and for my family needs they have beaten AAA, Mercury, 21st Century and the rest. Not by a few dollars either, but hundreds.
My family has an excellent driving record, full coverage at 100/300/300 with zero deductible comprehensive, 500 deductible on collision. The TL is $1100/year. Our CL is $497/year. Hope this helps my fellow forum members.

Just <1200 a year with AAA. No tickets or anything. I do have my household policy with them too. I bought the lojack which knocks 18% of your insurance rates with AAA.

Driving 3 years (since 16, now I'm 19), 3 NOT at fault accidents, ticket for speeding 22 over limit, ticket for failure to stop at stop-sign (california-stop). I pay 1926 for 6 months, in other words about 316.66 a month. Sucks-a$$ being young. With out the 2 tickets it would still be like 1700 for the six-months. Progressive is the lowest I've found after Farmers had offered me the lowest rate for the last 3 years before I got the new TL. :goldfish:

You've gotta be military to use USAA, otherwise forget it.
