I was showing this guy I know my car, and he owns an auto- detail shop down the street from where I work. Anyways, when he was checkin out my ride, he said it didn't look like the PP was even on(i.e. clearcoat, rustproof, soundproof, etc). He said that there should be some sort of 'packing grease' type stuff filling the little screw holes on the underside of the hood, in the door, and in the trunk. He also said there should be a sticker on the window specifying blah,blah,blah. To be sure, I'm going to take my car to his shop on Saturday to be hoisted so we can check underneath.

But, do you think this guy's full of BS or might I have gotten scammed on the PP. Can someone with the PP please check all these screwholes to see if there's something in them(grease) or if there bone dry like mine? Appreciate any info you can share.

At the dealership I got my car at the Protection Package is actually the mud guards, trunk liner etc and all weather matts... I was a bit confused at first thinking it was the paint protector etc.

 

pp is just dealer accessories... the car already has clearcoat, and it has some rustproof stuff (rustproof warranty too)... the guy doesnt know that the TL pp isnt the same as other pp's... thats all

 

i've got a sticker on the window that says "Final Coat Protectant" or something like that.
