for those w/moleskin installed for tint

Has anyone had problems with the moleskin streaking the windows after the car has been washed or after it has rained? I have a friend with an 05 TL who says he can't roll down his windows for hours after he washes the car because the moleskin gets wet and streaks his windows. I don't know what brand of moleskin he got installed but he says it is pretty bad. I haven't seen many complaints about this on this board but I figured I'd ask anyway.

How can it get wet unless he washes his car with the window open. The moleskin is on the inside and if the window is closed it shouldn't get wet.

Or did they install the moleskin on the outside?

They are not supposed to put moleskin on the outside! If they did then they should remove it, and if they didn't, then something else is causing the streaking.

Just had a problem with my moleskin on my drivers side window. It came of and all of the adhesive was all over my window. Took me a LONG time to clean it up. So far only window that had a problem and have not bothered to even replace it. It did seem like water was a problem and I have NO IDEA how it happened but that was the case.

I was thinking the same thing. If it's on the inside and it's getting wet, then he has other problems that need to be fixed 1st, because water is getting inside the door! If they installed it on the outside, they screwed up and it should be removed. I installed it myself and have not had any problems thus far.
