Smile For those in need of a Fog Switch for Independent fog lights

For those who are looking for the OEM accord fog switch that fits our TL, you can find them on www.hondacuraworld.com

I recently installed it and it's a direct fit with no modifications needed (except for wiring of course)

Its two parts:
The Switch is:
http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...8V31-SDA-1M035

The corresponding Harness:
http://www.hondacuraworld.com/Mercha...8V31-SDA-10030

Pictures are courtesy of Sixsixfour from his thread:

Thank you Tim for your support with this one.

See my thread, last post for wiring info.

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/07-accord-fog-light-switch-help-697641/

And here's the photo that's important in that thread that isn't appearing:

As an aside, I noticed that when the interrior illumination is on, the shade of light on the accord switch and the VSA switch are different. It really annoyed me, so I picked up an extra VSA bulb from acura for like $1.50 and replaced them. Also, since I use mine to power my emergency lights, I went with a red LED to light up the status light on it.

Yes on the fog is white illumantion with green indicator.

Not much of a difference . Did you have to solder the new bulb?

Thanks guys for the information. I'm tired of a crappy switch hanging from wires under my dash. I wired a separate circuit for my stock fogs and was looking/waiting for a switch solution.

Negative. It is a small twist in type bulb like these:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/NEO.htm

That's what I used for the red LED. I don't remember the model numbers though.

I also swapped the VSA button to the inside position and the fog switch to the outside position so I could see the status LED better so I'd know if the lights are on without looking around the steering wheel.

Not a big deal for fog lights, but with LED emergency lights, they're completely silent and you can ride around during the day for a while with them on confusing people, without even knowing their on. Not like the old strobes that used to make the clicking sounds.

So does this Accord relay connect directly to our TL fog wiring? Or is there modding needed?

not sure...I had fogs already since I have an 07 . I use the switch for independent fogs in combination with a relay. I had the orange one first..If its the same one..then no..the harness clip on the oem is bigger. I dindt buy the harness, just happen to have another switch from a civing and used and it fit. I am sure there are ways around the harness.

Stock harness on 07? The fog swicth on the 07 is on the steering wheel by the turn signal bar.

For clarity.....This switch will not make your fogs independent... it can be used with a realy and HID to make it independent.

i have an 07 and already had them wired to be independant but the shop that did it installed a silver flip switch to run them. the stock switch no longer works. they told me that if they used the stock the fogs would go off with the high beams- so I'm trying to see if I can use this switch as a replacement for the flip.
