i'd spend the extra and get the SS as it comes with the shocks and the factory ones won't be a good combo with the springs. Also the SS can be adjusted and hooked up to the TEIN EDFC to control it from inside the car.

Tein Basic Coilovers come with shocks and springs without EDFC feature and dampening adjustability.

Exactly
I heard the ride is pretty stiff but not too stiff for daily driving. Haven't personally experienced it

I think Tein Basics are harsher/firmer/stiffer than stock and SS (adjustable).

All of TEIN’s coilover setups include 4 shocks and 4 coil springs. Every kit is ride height adjustable but some kits offer more than that. Here is some more specific information on each model:

TEIN Basics
ride height adjustable, ride firmer than stock but are not stiff. Great street setup with a sporty feeling and good rebound but not never jarring.

"For the driver wanting a lower ride height, enhanced performance, and a
sporting ride in an affordable package. Suitable for daily driving.
Approximate lovering of 2", +/- 3/4". Upper mounts not included, but oem
replacement upper mounts are available with upgraded hardware."

TEIN Super Streets (SS)
ride height adjustable, dampening adjustability (allows you to adjust relatively how soft or firm the rebound/ride is – 16 levels)

"For the driver wanting a lower ride height, enhanced performance, and a
sporting ride in an affordable package. Suitable for daily driving.
Approximate lovering of 2", +/- 3/4". Upper mounts not included, but oem
replacement upper mounts are available with upgraded hardware."

I am going to get Tein Basics, as I am only a college student and am not as much a car enthusiast as others on this forum.. super streets are a good 200-300 more.. you can do a lot to your car with that kind of money.

When you guys say stiffer/firmer, what exactly do you mean? When cornering, there is a faster response or you can feel bumps on the road more easily?

Hahaha...those lights say different...lemme have them then!

I have the SS and love them...plus, I would never think of going without the EDFC now that I have one. Can't go to hamburger after you had steak right?
