Thinking of a newer TL or TL-S
My 2002 TL-S got beat up recently with a bag of nickels (not really, but it was a severe hail storm) and with repair costs going over 7 grand, I think the Insurance company will total it, if the do total it I am looking at getting a newer TL-S, and had I came across one with possibly a purely cosmetic issue, but could be something else.
The front and rear Fascia's seemed to be slightly off color. My first thought was/is "Shoddy paint work, or bad repair". The dealer claims that this is normal. But this is the first time i noticed such a difference in the paint of a TL-S.
So I thought I would ask the 3rd Gen Gurus, their thoughts.
Also are there any issues that I should be aware of in the 2006-2008 models that I should be aware of.

if its white or silver, the bumper mismatch is absolutely normal, it's a factory condition.
maybe if you complain about it enough they'll fix it for you, just make sure to squeeze everything you can out of those dealerships, and dont get sucked in to buying things that you don't need or you can get better/cheaper from aftermarket

The reason that paint doesn't match is because the bumper is plastic and the body is metal. It will never match exactly due to this reason. It may also have a clearbra on it as well which will contribute even more to this factor.

Yep, every body panel beat the heck up. Estimate had over 100 hours in body labor @ 45 + per hour, and then almost 2k in parts, then paint work...Insurance Company was looking for PDR repair, but damage was just too extensive...It sucks because I liked the car, but....it is what it is.
