that is the acura tl i am looking to purchase its a 2005 with 98k miles all records are up to date from what the guy says he is located four hours away so i have yet to go look at the car
what i am wondering is what should i look for besides making sure the car is running in great condition
what usually goes wrong and how many miles does your tl have would be great for me to compare to

Ok so i just went through this. I bought my 04 6 speed with nav about 9 months ago for 11,500 with 94000 miles. I was definetly going to get a 6 speed and, as im sure you know, they're pretty hard to find for a good price. When i went to look at the car the guy met me at a park and ride with the car filthy( I thought the wheels had actually been painted black
) there were plenty of scratches and the interior was a little abused but it drove nice and i figured for the money i couldn't beat it. I knew it would be a fixer-upper but i was fine with that. Heres where the problems come in. Since then, I got the tires replaced and found that there were two bent rims so now the seats have a little shake all the time. Ive had multiple problems with power steering but both i found answers to on this website. The biggest problem has been that the car burns a quart of oil every 750 miles and if it keeps getting worse i'm going to need to either replace the rings or maybe just get a new engine.

So the moral of the story, go check the car out, if it is in perfect condition and was obviously cared for by the original owners go for it because thats a very reasonable price and these cars friken rock(especially the 6speed)
Oh, also at a 105k miles a major service needs to be done on all honda motors that can run from 400(if you know a honda mechanic that will do it on their spare time) all the way up to 1500 dollars. So that will definetly add to your expense on the car
Good Luck!

This link may help you find your car - it did me. You can change location, years, price range and you can filter for certain things like "nav."

any car you like you can run thru acuras system to see if recalls taken care of and any warranty work history
need VIN then call 1-800-382-2238 x5 tell them looking to buy- need history and recall check please
Its free
If all that is good then have a mechanic look it over- brakes-steering are often worn out, hydraulic fluids need replacement at 60 and were not done?,
The auto trans cars have issues carried over from gen2
just before the 105 service is often when these cars get sold
