Thinking about pulling the trigger early.

I had gotten a great quote from DCH Montclair Acura that no one seems to beat yet. However, I have not heard from their Internet manager regarding the TL with the color combo and transmission I had wanted. The next closest dealer to meet my request was Acura of Orange Park in Jacksonville, FL. Another dealer from Duval Acura (another one from Jax, FL) gave me a good quote, but with all the bogus fees of lemon law fee, state lead acid fee, state tire waste fee, etc., that just doesn't sound right to me. I have only heard from 2 dealerships from Georgia (my home state), but the rest were from neighboring states.

Does anyone have any tips regarding negotiation? It seems like they will not budge below the magic number of around $31K, except for the ones I've stated above.

Thanks.

If thats with Navi, jump on it, if not, get navi and pay 2 more. That is about right though. Some people have gotten about 32500 with navi, which if you are talking non navi, is 30500.

It's for non-navi. I don't think I'll be modding my car that much if I were to get one with navi. If I need to get somewhere, there's always mapquest.

What were the quotes you got from Acura of OP and Duval? If we decide to buy one, those will be our two first quotes since we live in Orange Park.

Also, what color/tranny are you looking for? I have seen Acura of OP selling brand new TL's on ebay within the last couple weeks.

Mapquest! Exactly...why pay $2k when there's a free place? Never understood it...

As for your deal, low to mid $31's is good for non-navi. If they can find the color combo you want, jump on it. If you can be patient, wait until they find the color combo you want...there's nothing like getting exactly what you want.

I was looking for a 6MT, non-navi, AM/ebony TL, but Acura of OP didn't have that. They only had ABP/Quartz (my 2nd choice). Acura of OP had quoted me at $30,950, which was right around the price I was willing to pay. Acura of Duval was a little pricier. Out the door price with them was $34,291.83. I had originally stated invoice minus dealer holdback plus 3% profit for them to see how they'd swing. They swung too high.

I just put down a deposit with DCH Montclair Acura since they have the car I wanted. Out the door price with them is $33,048 minus my deposit and a bit more I'm willing to put down.

$216 over invoice, not to shabby!

Thanks Gadgets. I'm still in the process of obtaining financing. Hopefully I can get 5% APR with Synergy Bank. That would be better than what I've seen eLoan and Capital One have been offering.

that seems like a good deal.

just keep negotiating the otd price and make the dealers do a reverse auction for your business.

funk101, I don't how much I can negotiate the OTD price since I'm hit pretty hard with my state's sales tax (7%) already. And what is a reverse auction if you don't mind my asking? This is the first I've heard of it for vehicle purchase.
