Thinking of a 2008 TL-S

I have a 2006 TL Navi with 37,500 that is an absolutely a perfect car. I saw a certifed 2008 TL-S with 13,000 miles at my local Acura dealer in Clearwater FL for $26,995. Is the TL-S that much of a move up from my 2006. What would be a great deal trading my car and cash. I was thinking $10,000 and my car and could not justify any higher and I still wonder if it would be even worth my cost to move up even at $10,000 or just keep my car which is just out of warranty (not the powertrain) but is paid off. Thanks for the advice.

not worth it in my opinion. especially with the low miles on your 06. I have nearly 70k on my 06 and it has been flawless. spend a few thousand on mods and have something personalized that is yours alone. Now if you were considering going from an auto to a stick that would be my only consideration. no car payments rule!

^^ absolutely agree with this- mods are relatively cheap and you can make your car TL-S like as I did (have a front lip but added side skirts and TL-S lights for a small fraction of the cost of trading in and getting a TL-S. I also got fogs put on (see AckTL05 as he can get the A-Spec parts and the TL-S taillights/ fogs). Keep what you have and know inside and out, and drive it until the wheels come off!

Appreciate the advice. The one I was looking at was an automatic and not a stick. I would not want a stick as I have a 1996 LT-4 Corvette convertible that cures my needs for a manual tranmission. You are right about the mods and spending far less than $10,000. Plus I bought the 2006 brand new and know its perfect history. Thanks

^good decision. The 2006's are nice too and there's something about knowing your car from day #1 .vs. the unknowns of a used vehicle anyway. I have about 36K miles and same car and certainly wouldn't do it- I love my car the way it is with the current mods- especially with some upgraded tires.

For $1000, you could make some nice mods that will perk up the handling (rear sway bar, front Type-S bar) and a CAI will help with the performance aspects. I like the 2004-6 wheels better than the TypeS's and newer bases as well but that's a personal preference.
