Only two for me:

1) Folding 60/40 rear seats.

2) Larger displacement engine for more power (particularly more torque).

I love the car.

All these are good ideas, and I would like to add:

1. More adjustable power settings for the front passenger's seat
2. Heated rear seats

not sure if I will be in the minority on this one, but I miss the knob for my Temperature Control that I had on my 2000 TL...

It was much easier to adjust using the knob instead of using the TEMPERATURE UP and DOWN buttons...

But I guess the buttons look 'cleaner'...

only other thing I would add is better rearward visibility (i.e. reduce the blind spot)...I have already adjusted my mirrors using the advice found on other reads on this subject - took awhile to get used driving with the mirrors like that...

If the basic hardware is the same (if the RLs nav uses the regular XM antenna and there is no other extra hardware for for navtraffic) then I suppose they would.... I hope so

Talking

seriously, EVERYTHING you guys have already said, plus:

seamless ipod/dell dj integration.
heads up display would be cool as well.
easier way to white out the front headlights..
a little bit more body length (like the old tl's)
stonger/better/tighter handling
one touch black out dash lighting (like the saabs)
4 auto down AND up windows
navigation that showed me where cops were (integrated radar/laser detection)
stock remote start with better keyfob range

i would defintely pay more money for having a lot/all of these options in the car....

great thread! acura needs to take a serious look at this one!

A lot of you are describing the RL. If you add all that stuff the price would go up.
I would like to see(practically):
-SH-AWD(as an option)
-Seat controls on the doors
-MID integrated into the Navi, or at least be mirrored
-Shake sensors in the security system
-Dealership notification upon activation of SRS and emergency button

- Either RWD or AWD
- More low-end torque
- 300 HP
- MP3 player (It can replace the cassette player for all I care)
- White fogs that match the headlights
- Lower gauges so that when the steering wheel is tilted you can still see them
- A center brake light that's integrated into the trunk or spoiler
- Quality OEM tires
- Japanese production = less rattles

From my test drive of the 5AT, the only thing the TL needs IMHO is more low end power (torque).

BTW: I thought the TL HU could play MP3 formatted CDs. (The non-Bose HU in my 02 Maxima plays them. )

The one thing I wish "my" 04 TL had was no monthly payment...
--But that was my choice, not Acura's :-)

Actually you guys have said them all.
I will say for the price etc. the TL is great but one thing that "should have been" is (reiterating here..) fold down/pass through rear seats.

This was my one complete dissapointment during research/purchase....

I want the sound settings (Bass, Treble, etc.) to save with the individual presets. My Tahoe has it. Makes it great when flipping between music and talk radio. I keep having to adjust the bass.

Hate to be the realist here....

Remember what a good deal this car is? It's because it doesn't have many of these items that everyone is listing.

I agree with a lot of these; however, there are 2 of them that I just don't get:

1) Auto headlights (this has been discussed in previous posts ad nauseum, but I still don't get it - just leave them on).
2) Full spare. I actually saw the full size spare in my wife's Lexus for the first time about a month ago (after 3 years of owning the car). I can't believe I actually paid (probably an extra $500 or more) for a nice tire/rim to sit in the trunk. Yes, I know you're supposed to include it in the rotation, but that extra work. Why would anyone want to pay extra for this?

Yeah, I get it… if you get everything you want it’s the RL or something as nice… so along with keeping the price reasonable, here’s my list (in no particular order)

• Folding back seats
• Full size spare (I take long trips through the Rockies and don’t want to have to go even a few miles with a donut thanks)
• Integrated Mirror Turn Signals (I like the ones on TSX, and they make a difference)
• Tighter turning radius
• MID shown on Navi Screen (my wife wants to see who’s calling before I answer)
• Traffic Alerts w/ Navi (as an option)
• Better options on available (dealer installed) alarms (like passive with auto-window up option, like I have now)
• Integrated (read: hidden) Radar Detector
• Tire pressure monitor (TampaMike sugg)
• MP3 capability
• Daytime Running lights
• Rear View Mirror Compass
• Lower Fog Lights (in grille)
FULL TIME masseuse

I thinks its easier if you just hit the button on the steering wheel and say "temperature ??" the TL will adjust to whatever you say.

I agree with most of you.

1. Folding rear seats. I have never understood why Acura has left off this most basic of features.
2. MP3 capability. If the TSX can have it, why can't we?
3. FM radio station information. My friend's Saab has this. With all the technology in the TL, I wouldn't have thought this would be hard to add.
4. Better rear visibility. The rear headrests are nice, but they block my view.
5. VTEC at lower RPMs. Why do I have to rev so high before the fun really kicks in?

Even without these things, I really love this car!

I forgot to add:
-TPMS
-FM info
-MP3 decoding
-Mirror turn signals-They always stand out on a car.
-rain sensing wipers
What is so important about auto on lamps, my dad(i keep saying "my dad" cause im 15 and im trying to get him to get the car) by habit turns em on along with starting the car. Besides, what if you are on a stealth mission and dont want to be seen? The fogs are activated seperatly right?
