I might actually have a dumb question...
I have an 08 WDP type-s. I wanna get the a-spec body kit for it. Would it be totally stupid if i just got the front instead of the back and the sides? Have you ever heard of anyone doing that? I don't really see that much of a difference in the back that i have on it right now and the a-spec back. The front of the a-spec is where it looks freakin awesome. Sorry for sounding like such a noob but i would like your advice, guys.
hope to hear from you soon,
john

If I had to choose on which pieces. Here is the order of which I would obtain:
1) Front
2) Rear
3) Side Skirts
Rear does make a difference, I would just eliminate the side skirts if budget is tight.

^+1... I mean honestly, if someone bashes on you for just putting on the front lip would be considered a douche, i mean the ASPEC kit is $1200+ and not everyone has that type of money. I think it would look good if it just had the front, it doesn't look bad a all. and yes I have seen many TL's on Azine with only Front, Front and rear, and even just side skirts.

the front yes, but just a little, as little as 1/2 inch. You will end up scratching the plastic deflector under the car before the aspec kit anyway.

Sweeeet! thanks a lot for your help guys. I actually found the whole kit on ebay for $785 shipped and i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it. Pretty good price, huh? and it's in NJ which means that it won't take too long to get to me. How is the installation on the type s for all the sides. i've been trying to search for installation on the type s but i couldn't really find much.

yes the car would sit a lil lower on the back since this piece (front and rear) goes over the bumper !!!
and OP (what souljah said) :
1) Front - i got
2) Rear - i got
3) Side Skirts - i might go with RJ sides

the front is extremely easy, it's almost like plug and play. i bet a 16 year old can do it. The Sideskirts are just as easy as the front. Now the back, you'll need to spend a lil bit more time as you need to take the rear bumper out and required some drilling.

how exactly do you buy stuff from Tim? Will he send you a password for the group buy to enter on his website? sorry for sounding like such a noob...haha

Per the thread linked above, Tim is currently in the process of setting up a group buy page on his site. I am assuming that you would buy directly from the site. No need for a coupon code or secret password. I am basing this answer on past experience with Tim when he was working for Ray Laks but ultimately we will have to wait and see how he sets it up.

If you were looking at the car from the side, aesthetically speaking, does the car look out of line with the a-spec front and OEM sides? Or do the bottom lines still flow smoothly front to back?

I'm kinda curious if i just get the front, will it be uneven with the sides and the rear? as in, if you're looking at it from the side, will the sides and the back be higher than the front? i'm also wondering if it might even it out if i get the splash guards.

that does look great and it does tempt me to get it but i honestly can't say that i like it THAT much better than the one that i have on my type s right now. that's probably a noob thing to say but the front is worth the money to me. but who knows? maybe one day when funds are higher, i'll go for it.

Im in the same boat here. I have an 04 base but I am not really a fan of the rear and sides. I am still in between pulling the trigger on the whole kit or just the front.

I have a 07 with just the front on it. I own the back and the sides but they are still in the box. I havn't been in a rush to put on the sides because anytime anyone gets in and out of my car they scratch the stock sides up. The back I am on the fence with. I like the lines of the back stock and it shows my exhaust nice. I figure sometime during this summer I'll make a decision.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack, but can anyone confirm that these "underbody spoilers" are the a-spec kit? Or is it different? Thanks.
