Is there a final, end all/be all solution to the rear deck rattle???

Hi everyone. I know there are a hundred posts on the rear deck rattle under heavy bass. Just wondering if anyone ever found THEE fix to it? I have had mine in twice and the dealer fixed it each time....temorarily. It's going back in again for B1 service and I want to see if I can get it fixed for good.

It's just real confusing wading through all the posts on the subject, was hoping someone could point me towards the one final fix to the rattle....???

Thanks eveyone.

Tim

My dealer replaced my entire rear deck and added the insulation . . . all on the first visit. You can try and see if they'll do that for you.

Does this hold same for an 06? That TSB says 2004 all models... But I also have the problem.

My thing is I am putting my subs back in and I know they will blaim it on those even though I am just now putting them in and have had this problem.

ok let me know how it goes - I wanna just give my car in with the TSB and say "take care of it" and walk away :P

their service dept at Shittown Ac is usually good, no problems so far but I wish I would've known that were was a TSB out for this, prior to me bringing the car in...I should've used that "search" functionality built into the forum LOL

lemme know bro

Why take it out? I mean they will know by the wires.... And if they start to fix it they would find the wires...

Fact is it rattles without bass so shouldnt blame on that, but I know how it is. Welcome to my world...

try turning down the bass before leaving the car there. Also how is "shittown" acura. I mught be moving to NYC in about 2 years.
I got my rear deck replaced due to the rattling, but it has reapperared, but now from the speakers. I will have to reprint the TSB and hand it to courtsey again. Hopefull it will go away.

I put a piece of velcro on the trunk springs where they intersect when the trunk is closed, that fixed one. For the other, I took a 1/4" thick flat eraser and stuffed it into the hole where it has been rattling. So far it works great!

I also zip tied the small piece on so it doesnt fall off. After you do that, turn your music on fairly loud, find something with bass. when the trunk is closed, you shouldnt hear any rattling, if you do, pull down the "beauty cover" or what ever acura calls it, and look through the ~4" long oval hole, stick your finger up there and push up, if it stops, then stuff an eraser up in there (between the 2 pieces).
