Is there any way to tow an automatic transmission 3G TL.
I know towing an automatic even in neutral with the driving wheels on the ground can ruin the transmission because the transmission cooler isn't on unless the engines on.
Has anyone ever found a way to disengage the transmission or give me the tow specs in neutral.
I really don't want to call a tow truck

My vote is to get a vehicle dolly and DO NOT tow with all 4 wheels on the ground...
If you do - follow the procedures linked in the PDF...

Tow dolly from uhaul is like $50, but the car needs to be able to get onto it under its own power (unless the tow vehicle has a winch). Only way to disconnect the wheels from the trans is to remove the axles, which is way more trouble than it's worth... can anyone confirm if putting the car in neutral then towing it will still cook the trans fluid?
My TL has been on a tow truck multiple times...it's never been too expensive, and it's worth it to have it dropped in your driveway to work on yourself (as opposed to bringing it to a dealer, and paying additional costs).
Do you know what's wrong with it? Can the car move under it's own power (for just a couple feet)? How far are you planning on towing it?

I was going to tow it because the car wont or turn off unless the battery is connected. I'm pretty sure it's an electrical issue but I have no clue what to do.
Here is the thread I posted asking for anyone's help or experience with this type of issue.

The only way to tow the TL with the wheels on the ground is by turning the engine on, letting it run, then shifting from D to N.
My problem is the reason I'm towing the car is because the engine won't turn on haha so if anyone can help me figure out what's wrong with my car, I won't have to tow it at all.
Please let me know if anyone can help on this thread:
