Thank you. Believe it or not, I think I'm

going w/ the 6MT TL. I can get an '02 Sport/Premium 330i w/ less than 20k miles, but I'm scared of maint. I'd have a extended warranty until '09, but then what. I just think I trust Acura more.

I'm not thrilled about the FWD, and the fact that everyone's TL (except for you mod-heads out there) looks the same.

BUT, that's the only negative I can think of.

TL is more refined, and from the moment you step into the cockpit it's all good!

My plan is to wait for an '05 6mt certified w/ black interior. I've already seen 3 here in texas (but no black int.) - all of them were around 32,900, but I'd get them to 30k or better, I think.

That way, I'll save on the sticker, and get the extended warranty too.

By the way, did they improve on the leather/padding in the '05 passenger seating?

Thanks for your help guys!

Should have explained this better...

I wrote a post on Friday. I have a used 94 accord ex w/ 160k mile, I've decided to buy a new ride.

It's been (like many of you) a battle between (Infiniti, BMW, and Acura).

Many of you shared your experiences and opinions.

While I think nothing touches BMW in overall feel and experience. The total cost of ownership scares me. Even if I get a slightly used one w/ extended warranty.

I have not been here for too long, but I've seen others get new TL's for close to invoice $30.7K. When you are spending that much, the piece of mind that it was taken care of from the start is worth spending a little extra. Honda extended warranties can be bought cheap if you shop around.

Good luck in your purchase.

Why not just get a new 05 Navi for less than $34k?
Yes the seating pattern is improved in the 05's.

Well, sounds like I can get a new one w/o Nav for less than 31. Maybe I can get the slightly used one for less than 29K. To me, 2K is worth it.

Two more questions...

1. Other than price, any reason why I'd want to consider the TSX? I haven't driven it, though I hear it's more balance, has better shifting, clutch, etc., less torque steer. Still the interior wasn't as nice as the TL, IMO. Other thoughts?

2. One nice thing about the G35, is that they offer 1.9% financing. Acura doesn't come close, right? What are you guys all doing?

A) I've my for 30,600 - brand new.

1. Drive all - and you'll see reason why.

2. How about credit cards with 0.00% for a year?

Some people consider the TSX over the TL because it is lighter, more tossable and handles better than the TL. It has a stiffer suspension setup than the TL so the ride is more firm. The shifter on the TSX is truely amazing, S2000 is the only better one I've seen. If you can live without the bluetooth, memory seats, and DVD audio, you may find the TSX a bit more fun to drive at a lower price.

If your looking for a softer ride with more power and features go with the TL.

Either way your making a great choice

Thank you. I take it the torquesteer is minimal in the lower powered TSX.

Anyone else?

Torque steer is minimal in TSX because it has only 200 hp compared the 270 in the TL.

Actually, TSX has no torque steer because it only has 166 lb/ft of torque, compared to 238 lb/ft for the v6 TL.

The TSX is closer in size and handling to a 3 than a TL would be. A TL is closer in size to the previous 5 series.
