For some fun do you want to test your security system in your TL?

From outside your vehicle after you have locked it with your remote use the auto window down feature by holding down on the "unlock" button of the remote to lower your windows.

When you get to the drivers door reach through the window and manually unlock the car by pulling up on the unlock "knob". Your security system should go off on the car.

It sure made me jump when it happened to me. At least all you have to do is hit a button on the remote to deactiviate the system/horn.

Why roll down the windows? Just throw a brick through one and see if that triggers it. That would be fun !

 

why not just open the windows from the inside, get out, lock it and pull up the knob?

 

If you lock the door with remote, then insert the key and start the car, the same thing happens.
