Test drove 04 TL

Hey guys, I test drove the 04 TL Sat and was throughly impressed with the machine inside and out! I drove an Anthracite with Ebony non-navi. (auto of course.....dealer estimates middle of Nov. for 6MT to arrive) In person the car is even more impressive than in pics.....17 inch tires/wheels look larger and fill up the wheel well nicely.....Also looked at another Anthracite with ebony with the dealer installed optional 18' rims......the color was a neat match with the car, but I decided I liked the 17" rims better.....IMHO the 18" looked too bling bling for my taste. The lines of the car on the outside were awsome, the interior is SWEET, nothing felt cheap about it whatsoever. Honda has done an excellent job with this car espcially for the relative low price. Power wise.......the auto TL felt a little slower than my 02 Maxima 6MT....but I'm sure the 6MT TL would hold its own well. The only things I have to decide is to trade my 96 4unner or my 02 Maxima in on the new TL and what color to choose......most likely anthracite with quartz. My only real complaint is the non power tilt/telescope wheel.......the 04 Max has a power wheel.

Doesn't the 04 Max also have a heated steering wheel? My Cousins 2003 Max does...

If there is more than one person using the same car, you would be changing it quite a bit. For some that is a concern and a power adjustable steering wheel that is included in the memory seating presets is a big plus.

I have already taken my 04 TL for two weeks already, and today my wife happened to visit the Nissan dealership just for fun. We were in one of the new 04 Max, and we both think our choice was correct, since the interior of the TL is much much nicer, sportier and well form. Though the interior space seems larger in the Max, but the material made inside is too plastic look (both of us thought that way) and the new vertical moon roof was not one piece thru from the front seats extend to the rear, instead, it was in two pieces, so they just look like two small roof windows on the ceiling. Anyway, I think just the lacking of the power wheel is not a big deal, overall, I think the TL is still better.
