Temperature odometer

Hi all, i'm new here. Just to say HI
second. I have a question.
I just bought an Acura TL 2007. the needle of temperature odometer always nearly in the middle between cold level and hot level even if I don't drive for 2 days. Is this normal for acura TL or I need to take it to dealer.
I had acura CL 2.2 before and temperature odometer level always in cold level and it go up slowly to nearly in the middle when I drive.
thanks.

After sitting an approriate amount of time, it should start up and show toward/at Cold then rise as to the middle as the coolant temp increases.

Well.. when you turn the car off it should rest at "C"

It's the temperature gauge by the way; heat has nothing to do with mileage

If it's always in the middle of hot and cold, even when you turn the car off, then there is a problem. The car warms up after a few minutes of driving and the needle should always hover around the middle area during normal conditions, but again, when the car is off the needle should return to its resting point..

It's not normal to be in the normal range when you first start it, not after sitting for a couple days. Even in the middle of the Phoenix and Vegas summers, mine starts at cold. It's normal for it to retain heat for a while. I've had mine barely registering in the middle of the day at lunch from the morning commute but that's with 114 degree weather. The guage on my other car shows 120 degrees sometime after sitting for a week but the TL's guage threshold is higher than that.
