My outside temperature gauge is showing --- and the little phone display showing your phone is linked to bluetooth just went out at the same time. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Hmm.. make sure your phone has bluetooth on and it's paired with your Handsfreelink. Check the security settings on the car and the phone. After it's paired, try hitting the Handsfreelink button on the steering wheel to connect, it should show your battery and signal meter.

 

Was on a call on Bluetooth got home and hit the transfer button. When I got back in the car, no temperature and phone display indicating bluetooth connection. researched old threads and found, pull both fuse #7 under the hood and under the dash at the same time and it now works. Wonder what the dealer would have charged????

 

He probably wouldn't have charged anything if your car is still under warranty, but you accomplished several things here.
