Angry TECHNICAL PROBLEM- Left Headlight PROJECTOR

Does anyone know about the projector HID's?
my left projector is intermittent- meaning
when i turn on my HID's/ lights the left projector will sometimes NOT turn on.
so i have to play w/ my lights....switching them off....then on again...till it turns on.

IS THIS A BULB PROBLEM? or the headlight / h.i.d. assembly problem?

anyone know?????

thanks,

Tai

Regardless of the source of the problem, it certainly sounds like a warranty problem. Why not just let the dealer figure out how to fix it?

Seems like a lot of people in here ask questions about how to fix things that are covered under the warranty. Gees, just take the car to the dealer and tell them what's wrong and let them fix it. Also, if you attempt to fix something and in turn make it worse, you could void the warranty on it.

Your dealer would help you fix this...

Sometimes DIY is good for tiny issues and upgrade we could do as well as issues dealers couldn't fix. Or, the dealer is so far away from where you live...

Btw, as for these types of topics, our "traffic" brings these to us, they're all good and welcomed. All popular forums has the trend like this. We welcome our membersl participating our forums, including newbies, veterans, trolls, etc. You may see redundant topics once for a wihle, but it's the nature of forums. As long as the same topics ain't showing up in the same day, it would be ok.

Between Oct. 2003 and Feb. 2004, AcuraZine 3G TL forums prolly have covered 98% of topics already. We cannot force everyone to post/reply their questions into those old threads. We'd suggest that members could SEARCH topics and info from our Database, and welcome them to post their threads if they like to bring up topics to the new level.

Definitely, this topic is new and rare, please bring your car to dealer for the further checkup.

It seems like he just wanted to know what is causing this. It doesn't mean he's asking how to fix it himself.
Sometimes people would rather fix something by themselves than take it to the dealer. Maybe the nearest Acura dealer is pretty far.
Like me, I would rather fix it myself if I can than take it to the dealer. The dealer doesn't care about your car. They could damage something while fixing one thing and never tell you about it. It could be a scratch somewhere that you would never have noticed.

Of the problems I've heard of HID's not lighting up, they have all been problems with the balast. Take it into your dealer and they should fix or replace it under warranty.

If the dealer is far, make sure you call ahead so that they can order the new part ahead of time so that you wont have to make two trips.

thanks guys....the only reason why i was inquiring was because
I bought my TL in November....as soon as I bought got the car....
I had the dealer switch my bulbs from 4500k to 6000k.....

I haven't had any problems until recently.
I just noticed that problem 2 days ago....plus
when I turn on my HID's..... the side I've been having the problem with sometimes also (from what I've noticed) takes a approx. 1/2 a sec delay before it lights up compared to the other side.

I was asking because I don't want the dealer to say I voided the warranty when I changed my bulbs from 4500k to 6000k.

Just wanted to hear what you guys had to say or if you guys had any insight on the subject matter.....

Likely...

Probably not the bulb. It will be the ballast, a loose connection/wiring issue, or an intermittent relay.

But, since it's under warranty, not a DIY job - take it to the dealer and let them sort it out.
