Ahah - Quick reply does not include signatures - Advanced does - I get it.

I suppose there is somewhere I could have RTMF - but what fun is that!

Exclamation Tomorrow's Camel Hop at the Gym

Attention Troops!

I have appointed Dark DJ as official TEAM CAMEL Disc Jockey.

Now that we have a DJ, there will be a Camel Hop tomorrow night at the Gym. Dress is earthtone tuxes. Brown tie.

Highlite will be a 3-legged Camel race. Bring your own old bag. No humping under the bleachers!

Winner gets a ride in an Ebony interior. Second place gets two rides in an Ebony interior. :lol1:

Pices, I can also host your images. Instead of using the Quick Reply, you click on the reply button on the bottom left. Using the normal reply function, theres a button that you can click to insert images into a post.

No Camel driver would ever, ever hire a DJ.

A 12-piece band with a black female vocalist? Definitely. A DJ is strictly for the Accord-Gone-Wild crowd (normally seen driving a Silver/Ebony TL with cold-air injection and blue interior lighting).

Therefore, I would request that we reject the application for Team Camel DJ; it's beneath us.

I agree with Boltjames. We don't like to discriminate, but hiring a DJ for the TEAM Camel GIG would be like slapping a Honda bumper sticker to our TL trunk lid. Not quite our style.

Welcome to TEAM CAMEL, Nipster. Your excellent refined taste and superior intellect qualify you as a charter member. Because you have ABP (Blue), you are especially blessed and, as a result, you are appointed as Sergeant at Arms.

It will be your specific duty to identify and roust any spies that sneak in from Parchment (they try and pass in the dim light), Ebony, and Graphite. :cop:

Raise our Camel banner high!

Who is this "AcuraTLjaTT559"?? sneaking around in our tent? Is he a plant from the enemy? A Trojan Horse perhaps?

Anyone who doesn't reveal their interior color is not to be trusted? What's up with that? I bet you've got a Tijuana Special red and white tucked Naugahyde custom interior. Do you know how many Nauga's gave their lives for that? You shoulda gone CAMEL when you had the chance.

Now, leave our DJ alone. He's allowed to moonlight. We can share.

OK. I must respect the views of the Executive Council. Ergo: Dark DJ's appointment is changed to "Musical Director" and he is required to recruit said slinky singer to work with him/her and to get some musicians for live performances at the Camel Hops. Make it so, Scotty!

Hi -
I'm trying to decide what color TL to buy. I love the camel interior (didn't like it at first until I test drove one with it). I was looking at black, white, red, blue - yesterday went to the dealer and narrowed it to white or red. Do you have a picture of your red/camel?

Here are the pictures of my Redondo Red Pearl/Camel beauty:

Side shot:

Both doors open:

Close up of front door open:

My wife's comment when we were shopping was that a color as intense as the Redondo Red needs a color as strong as the Camel interior to keep balance. The Parchment seemed too bland, for my personal taste.

Very nice combo! If you can, please post a pic of the center console/shifter area as I'd like to see how the wood shift knob looks....

I'm listening to the DJ's mixes.....not bad, but I'd still prefer the band. Gets bigger checks at the Bar Mitzvah

kph- Thanks! Looks great.

I had the wood knob for about an hour and was on the fence so I returned it.

On the one hand, it accentuates the wood- specifically, the gearshift 'box' up to the two wood doors.

On the other hand, the steering wheel, handbrake, and other ergo car controls are all black leather and it looks a little out of place so close to the handbrake.

In the end, it drew a bit too much attention to itself to spite the rest of the interior's exquisite sense of balance.....so I returned it.

It does look terrific though....maybe I'll go back and rebuy it

Any differences for Camel interior with the 6-speed? If anyone has a 6-speed with Camel some pictures would be appreciated.

Also, how difficult is the Camel to keep clean. The Parchment is to light for me and the black to dark showing every spec. of dust and hot in the summer.
Thank you.

kcc445- The Camel is second-best to keep clean next to the Quartz IMHO. I just traded in an 00 RL and it had a black interior that showed dirt and age and wear faster than any other Camel/Parchment interior I've ever owned on many Acura/Honda products. So far, so good with the Camel and it looks terrific.....very rich and lots of contrast with the black dash and wood accents.

Cleaning

Okay fellow Cameleers what works best on cleaning the pillars? That is some strange material. I lightly used some Amour All on a rag for the dash and bumped the pillar leaving a streak. After it dried, it was no longer visible but I surely never will use that stuff again for the dash. But still cleaning that cloth pillar, with what?

Just your luck that the position of Chief Justice to the Court of Camels within TEAM CAMEL is vacant (and has been since the days of Lawrence of Arabia- the last Chief Justice. Did you know Lawrence's ride had a camel interior... and exterior also, come to think about it?)

Anyway, are there any other nominations for Chief Justice?? Anyone?? Buehler?? Hearing none: I declare nominations closed and Karizma is Chief Justice! Your first duties involve going duck hunting with me and the rest of the Executive Committee- then we will lunch with NOW. Now, whose TL are we gonna drive? OK, Guys! We can't all ride in the back seat and I am NOT going to wear this chauffeur's cap!
