Does the front grill of our tls come off? i tried taking it off but wouldnt come off.. i'm trying to take it off so i can paint it black. Also, does the silver strip on the hood come off as well?

 

All of the silver components in the grille are able to come off. Underneath the silver piece that supports the Acura emblem, you will find theres a piece that is attached to the bumper that will not come off unless you cut it.

so do i have to cut that piece attached to the bumper off then? will i be able to put the grill back on afterwards then?

 

^it is attached by screws behind the bumper

does anyone know how to take off the silver strip off the hood? right above the grill? i was just outside looking at it and it wont come off!

 

According to the service manual, there are 4 nuts (5mm I think) accessible under the hood which hold the strip on; there is then a clip in the center which you can pop out "by pushing it from he drain hole in the hood". YMMV.
