Tail lights and side markers Tint?

I want to smoke out the tail lights and rear side markers. Not much at all... just a very slight smoke, nothing that will draw attention from the authorities.

I see two ways of doing this, looking for advice from those that may have done this

1. paint them with a tinted clear
2. literally put tint on them

I am very capable of doing either mod, just wondering what you guys (and girls) think is or would be better.

???

ewww. tinting tails and side markers died in 1999.

buy type-s side markers. they will match the fronts.

then for the tails either custom mod them yourself or have some one on the forums do it for you.

To answer your question, OP, the VHT nite-shades spray tint is the best way that I have seen short of going to a paint shop and having tinted clear sprayed on.

X2 , I'm glad you answered his question instead of criticizing his intentions.
OP doing a spray tint like VHT will involve removing the rear bumper to remove the tails . Its a lot easier to spray them when horizontal. The other option is a film. I have done both.
