switchblade key battery

switchblade key battery

Hi all,
Do I need to reprogram my switchblade key if I replace my battery in it??
I wanna know before I change it....

I know that the immobilizer wont need to be reprogrammed and I am almost sure that the lock/unlock wont need to be reprogrammed either. All programming the lock/unlock buttons to the car is tells the car to recognize that signal. By changing the battery you wont be changing the frequency/code or whatever it is that the remote sends to the car.

If that turns out to be wrong I want to know.

Acura wouldnt make you buy a new key everytime that you need the battery replaced. The stealership might do something like that but not Acura.

You're absolutely right... I found the answer... it uses a C1616 battery...

Additionally, I don't think it would erase the remote programing by just a battery replacement...
