Too bad this one does not have the remote function. Have you tried to open the door with the actual key? I already scratched the hole. I miss the Accord remote.

Question

How do you know the blank will work on an 04 TL

It also states that there is no remote feature. How does this help

It says it will only fit 95-98 TL. It also does not have the immobilize function, so you would only be able to open the doors, but you wouldn't be able to start the car. I made an extra key in Lowe's for the garage so I could at least turn the ignition on and adjust the MID, in case I wasn't carrying my keys at the time. The dealer wants $50 to make another spare key with the chip in it, and he said it would be $400 if you lost all your keys and needed to make a new one from scratch. Does this sound right?

Haven't had to replace any keys for late model cars recently, but it does sound a wee bit bit on the high side.

If the car had a smart key system, this would be less of an issue!

Time to catch up to the Prius!

Wish 05TL has better key/fob. If possible, I'll switch.
