i have a couple pairs of switchback leds. since i have a couple of sets ill take one set down and disassemble it and see how i can turn these into sidemarkers =]

 

Has anyone done this mod with the 'v2 switchback' style?

 

dont think its been done yet. I can do it but i dont have V2 switchbacks.

 

hey buda, may i ask where you got that relay from or where i could get one?

the shipment of switchback i got in, stay white and when i turn on the blinker it. the white is on but the orange led turn on to blink.

I might be asking a stupid question but I know NOTHING about electrical work so pardon my noobness, is there any way I could make my front and rear sidemarkers blink in sync with my turn signals? I don't really care too much for the amber/white switchback mod, just want all my blinkers and sidemarkers to blink on/off at the same time. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks ahead of time.

 

Ouch, you nailed that on the head as I'm seeing this post over 2 years later.


Keeping the stock sidemarker setup... No. You can only get it to blink off sync from the turn signals (ignoring using a logic chip to program the delay).

If you create a custom LED board to put in the side markers then yes. You would have 2 circuits of Amber LEDs. The first circuit would operate as normal parking/running lights and the second circuit would be for blinking. If the parking lights are already on, the turn signal activating would turn on more Amber LEDs to increase brightness of the side marker hence blinking.
