Can anyone tell me what the part # for the socket might be and where I can find it?
If they're talking about the female "hole" that the bulb holder goes into, then that's the entire back cover of the light.

Just to prevent anyone from disappointment, don't buy VLEDs 5K switchbacks. They have a slight yellow tint to them during the day and at night.

^^^Could be either the way in which you took your picture (bright background in a dark room), or even camera settings. If you look at the videos I posted on the first page of the thread you can see that I test mine fully outdoors and during the day as well as at night, and they don't have a yellow tint to them. Slightly closer to blue in fact.

The new socket for corners is 1157, but only for type s's I think. Otherwise, they're all 7443 bulb sockets.

I loved my ebay ones, I recently swapped out to amber led's though. I got bored of the all white.

I have the VLEDs 5k switchbacks 48LED ones and I do not know what you are talking about "slight yellow tint".

Mine has absolutely no yellow tint whatsoever. Not during the day, not during the night. Doesn't matter what angle your standing it's pure 5k white with no blue or yellow.

It's probably because you don't have a diffuser. I have a clear USR diffuser.

i wish that was the case, but they have that look in person as well, not only in pictures. And you tested 6K right? wish i ordered those instead

maybe i got bad bulbs then because they definitely aren't pure white. I'm thinking it could possibly be the reflection of the amber SMD leds which are actually yellow coated. Doubt it would be the fact that i don't have a diffuser but who knows

Actually the yellow coating you see is for the white. I know it sounds confusing but all white LEDs come with a phosphorous coating on it which gives it the white output. White LEDs are all pretty much blue LEDs with a phosphor coating on it which gives it the white output when it's illuminated.

amber, green, uv, red, blue, pink and all other colored LEDs will appear clear.

Only white LEDs have a yellow coating.

Here are my WHITE LEDs. The rectangular LED you see in the first picture at the top right is a BLUE LED I used to use. See how it's actually clear?

These are all white LEDs..
