Maybe more depending on the shot. Put this on a normal engine and you're looking at 14:1 to 15:1 compression. This will kill a stock enigne no doubt. A heavily modded engine might take this with a good amount of timing retard. I would not do this under any circumstance.
This whole boost ads x amount of compression points and nos this is a terrible way to try to explain the effects these systems have on an engine. At best that info is terribly innacurate. When you boost an engine you will see a dramatic rise in cylinder pressure which in turn creates an increase in temps, if you over do it you will find melted pistons, cracked cylinder walls and bent rods. The factory engine was only designed to take so much abuse. Slightly raising compression via pistons and such would not produce as dramatic an effect.

Look at what you just said, "when you boost an engine you will see a dramatic rise in cylinder pressure." What do you think compression ratios represent? They represent cylinder pressure. When you boost an engine every 6 psi of boost is worth about a point or so of compression. Granted I did not expalin how the boost and NOS would effect the engine specifically but the net effect is the same, your engine will not survive. If he was looking for a very technical explanation of how the boost and the NOS combine to create what usually would be a catostrophic enigine failure, I'm sorry, I should have been more technical. I made it overly simple so that it would not get confusing.

Joe can Lady both have older TL's.

They do not have 2004 TL's.

I have been trying to find someone who has NOS on a 04 to no avail...

The Comptech supercharger is due to come out in a couple weeks. Hopefully....

What difference does it make? With one or two minor differences, the motor is the same in my TLS as it is in your 04.

My setup would work in your car with no modifications.
