SULEV vs ULEV
On my way to work this morning i pulled up right beside an 04 accord. It was the same color as mine with the same interior so i had the chance to really compare the cars(although there is nothing to compare :toothless
). Anyways, as i was looking at the accord i sa the sticker in the rear quarter window and it read SULEV. And beneath it i think it said SUPER ULtra Low Emision Vehicle. Anyway, as i got out of my car this morning i glanced over to look at what MY sticker. Lo and behold it only said ULEV. So i was like WTF!?. OUr Tls being an ACURA should be superior to honda's right? I know this sounds so lame. To tell you the truth i just want to start a thread because i haven't started one in a long time

...JK...no i really want to know what the difference is and why the Accord has it and the TL does not. My best guess would be because the Tl has a 270 hp engine and thers no way they can make it an SULEV...

Well you pretty much answered your own question. With the TL putting out 270 it would be to nearly imposable to make it a SULEV.
I am surprised that the TL is a ULEV. People on here are always saying that the TL engine is putting out all it can. They have no idea what they are talking about. With a car being ULEV it is be heavily restricted and could thrown down a lot more HP if Acura wanted it to.

Found the answer to my own question:

It seems that there are some vehicles that are SULEV's that allow a single person to drive in the carpool lanes, but they are all powered by "alternative fuel"

I do worry 04TL with SULEV would come with serious vibration at certain range of RPMs if Acura doesn't want to modify the design of frame/exhaust/structure.
However however, if Acura came out with this idea a year ago, trying to make 04TL having SULEV, they may be already aware of the possible vibration problems and making those early-built cars less-trouble free. My 0.02.
