stupid kid
This dude came over my house wit his girl for a bbq on saturday and he was running his mouth bout how his car was all fast running 310 and all. So I asked him what he drove and he said a Tl type S. I didnt tell him I drove a TL type S cause I wanna to see what other bullshit he has to pull outta his ass. Well things started to get funny because he said he got his car in 2000. If I remember correctly the Typs S didnt come out til 01. Well I was trying to put numbers together like how does 310hp came about. If he has icebox, pulley, intake and headers that bout 300 roughly. (of course not WHP) I know cause that is what I have on my car. But how did he get 310 I dunno. Then he told me he got a chip that gives him like 20 hps or sumthing. I was drinking but I kno I aint that drunk to mistaken some shit like that. Anyhow there is no such chip for the TL to boost your HP like. So I called him out and I told him that I drove a Type S too and we should have a friendly race one of these days cause I wanna see how my REAL type s measure up with '310hp" type S and he told me his car is in the shop and tranny is slipping and a whole bunch of other shit, when my homie was in his car yesterday and the car was running fine. And this foo has the nerve to call out my other homie who drive a EVO with a few minor mods. He said he will put up a good fight with the evo and even has a chance to win. I wanna to laugh so hard but I wanna hold it in for now until after we race. I will update on you folks after I embarass this sucka real quick. Oh yeah, the evo will be there to to run some tread marks along side with me

It's like "Vtec kicked in and I put 5 car lengths in front of corvette"
1) vtec is always kicked in, it just changes profile
2) 5 car lengths? your rpm must be rising so fast and have rev limiter at 10,000RPM.
3) corvette must be running on 87 octane
I usually just listen to funny talks and never tell them I know anything
Then I get into my car to go home and people goes "wow"

1. Are you sure he didn't say CL Type-S? Because the CL-S was available in 2000 as a 2001 model.
2. There is a chip that yields such gains; the Unichip. It has to be tuned, of course, but it provides pretty decent gains.
3. With the usual bolt-on's, a Type-S should have no problem running 300+ hp at the crank. According to the dyno, my car is producing approximately in the neighborhood of 310 hp, and I've done a couple of more mods since, then. It should be good for 320 at the crank now.
4. 300 according to your calculations, 310 according to him, whatever. It's a minor difference in calculating crank horsepower. I don't see the big deal in a 10-hp discrepancy.
5. Race him and let us know how it goes.

Yeah its a TL not the Cl. He said he got the chip on EBAY for $250. maybe the unichip but I highly doubt it. Yeah the invitation is out there. Just waiting for him to respond
