Struts or Shocks?
Do our cars come with shocks or struts?I have an 05' auto with about 31k on it and was wondering what is the average life on the shocks or struts on our cars. Thanks in advance.

Everyone calls them struts but they're shocks. I replaced mine around 40K because they were getting soft. Most people go twice that distance.

Yeah... our cars have wishbones & shocks in the front, like Honda did it in the "good ol' days" before they cheaped out & went back to struts.
Shocks cost less & are replaceable by the DIY'er with no exotic tools or the danger of the improperly compressed strut assembly flying apart in one's face!
