Strange phone behaviour
I have a T616 which seems to work fine, no echo's or bad reception at all.
But sometimes, when I get in the car, I notice that the MFD is showing the battery meter and signal strenght w/o me hitting the HFL talk button. If I hit the hangup, nothing happens, but if I hit the talk button it seems to then put itself in normal mode, asks for a cmd, etc, then I can hit hangup.
It doesn't happen all the time, in fact not very often (maybe 1 in 10 times I get in the car), so it's not that big a deal, just wondered if anyone else had this behaviour?

I do. This is kind of NORMAL issue in my car now. It takes place once for a while.
In Dec. & Jan, I ever posted twice for this issue. There are only 2-4 guys saying they have the same problems.
Already asking my stupid dealer twice, no answer.
I use the same techniq as yours to erase this "problem".
My phone is T610. I wonder if this is relevant to my Memory Lost issue.

I had a similar problem....
I was having similar issues with my system. I recommend reading the thread labled my phone crashed. I had intermittent attacks of the phone freeze like you describe. Then it locked up so back that I could not do anything to fix it. Parked the car at my destination. When I returned and started it some minutes later it was fine. As if it had been rebooted. The next week the system totally crashed. The dealer has located what they think caused it. The talk button was kept open. They have ordered parts. I suspect you all may be having the similar issues that might lead to what eventually took place with mine. Ask you dealers to order the replacement and hopefully you will be fine too.
Yesterday, my T610 phone crashed in the basement of a building with a messge like - "SIM card failed." I had to reboot the phone after I got in the car b/c there was no signal or phone. The audio system said "Phone" but was playing music. It was very odd, but I fixed it using the hangup/talk buttons as described above.
Now, if I could just get the computer to recognize the word "pound", I could check my voice mail.
It's only getting it about 1/5 and by the time it does, the voice mail computer at the office has stopped waiting for input.

I've never had to "reboot" (restart) the car to clear anything, just hit talk/hangup and it's all normal and the phone works afterwards.
My vin is 21xxx and I've never had a memory seat problem.

Mine not a reception problem
Mine was definately a problem with the talk button on the steering wheel. It stays in the open position so the system is waiting for a command. I hope the part is not coming from Japan. Or worse, on back order and have an indefinate ETA. Strange how fast we get accustomed to these new tools to perform our tasks. I miss the hands free as if I never knew another way of taking a phone call.

Mine does this also, but I have the T610. It happens about 8 out of 10 times, and it is really starting to piss me off.
